The program is designed in accordance with the norms of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is affiliated with the University of Calicut. Our curriculum balances academic depth with practical experience, producing reflective, tech-savvy, and value-driven educators.

B.Ed Programs Offered

  • This specialization is designed to equip future educators with a strong command over the English language and the art of teaching it effectively. The program delves into the pedagogy of English language teaching (ELT), literary analysis, and curriculum development. Students engage with classical and contemporary literature, language acquisition theories, and instructional design models. Practical training includes lesson planning, language lab sessions, and interactive workshops. The goal is to develop reflective practitioners who can foster communicative competence, cultural awareness, and literary appreciation in their learners.

  • This specialization empowers future educators with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, logical reasoning, and curriculum development. The program integrates modern pedagogical strategies such as constructivist approaches, experiential learning, and the use of digital tools for interactive teaching. Emphasis is placed on making mathematics engaging, accessible, and relevant to diverse learners through real-life applications and activity-based instruction. Students are also trained to develop effective assessment tools and differentiated learning strategies for varied classroom needs.

  • This specialization offers a rich, multidisciplinary foundation in history, geography, political science, and economics, empowering future educators to foster civic awareness, cultural sensitivity, and critical inquiry in the classroom. The course emphasizes inclusive and critical pedagogy, enabling student-teachers to address diverse classroom contexts and social issues through education. The curriculum integrates experiential learning, case studies, field surveys, and the use of audio-visual aids to make social science teaching dynamic and impactful. Students are trained in developing lesson plans that incorporate current events, promote social justice, and encourage analytical thinking among learners.

    • This specialization provides a comprehensive grounding in biology, chemistry, and physics, equipping future educators with both subject expertise and pedagogical proficiency. The course emphasizes inquiry-based and experiential learning, encouraging students to develop scientific temper, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Practical sessions in fully equipped science laboratories help reinforce theoretical concepts, while teaching practice modules simulate real classroom experiences. Students learn to design lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, integrate lab activities and experiments, and foster an engaging environment for scientific exploration.
